How they work
Each alert is a threshold — a percentage of your monthly credit allowance — and a recipient email address. We check your usage across all regions every few minutes, and the moment your consumption crosses a threshold, we email the recipient.- Each threshold fires once per month. Once the 50% email has gone out, it won’t fire again until the allowance resets.
- The counters reset at the start of each calendar month. All four alerts re-arm on the 1st, so you get the full 25 / 50 / 75 / 100% sequence again against the new month’s usage.
- Only crossed thresholds fire. If a sudden spike takes you from 40% to 80% between two checks, both the 50% and 75% alerts fire together.
What the email looks like
The email comes from Composo Alerts ([email protected]), with the subject Composo API Usage. It names the domain, how many credits you’ve consumed against your allowance, the percentage, and which threshold you crossed — plus a link to your /usage page for the full breakdown:
Alerts don’t block requests
Usage alerts are notifications, not limits. Crossing 100% — or going over it — doesn’t throttle or stop your evaluation calls; they keep succeeding, and your usage simply shows an overage. See What happens if you go over.
